Inside my bunker

HI GUYS, AND WELCOME TO MY NEWSLETTER!
A new newsletter has come, this time from the Santos Sanctorum bunker in Bilbao, Spain. Here is the 17th day of quarantine because… Well, I really don´t need to explain it to you.
People asked me (and even I made some interview about it) how I’m living the confinement. My initial plan during his first half of the year was going to be working on some different projects with calm, middle/long terms projects of miniseries I don´t want to publish until they are completely finished. Basically my project with Mike Oeming and my project with Frank Barbiere and some personal stuff I’m writing. No deadlines, just drawing the stuff at my own pace. It´s a fast pace I must say, because I prefer working with energy. But in my own terms.
So my daily routine has not changed very much (except the weekends) and having things to do helps a lot. Writing and drawing is the best way to be focused and calm in a situation we really can´t control.
WELCOME TO THE BUNKER
One year ago we moved to a new flat where finally I had a room to make my studio. The last 13 years I have been working in a small table in a small living room (insert dramatic violin music here). Polar, The Mice Templar, Filthy Rich and all my stuff previous to 2019 was made there, stuck between the wall and an old tube TV. I love telling it with the appropriate epic.
When I got my own work space for first time I was happy like a kid in an arcade with infinite credit. And now with this weird situation of confinement, when I finally had the chance to sneak into the others’ homes thanks to the magic of Social Media, it´s time to show my den:

DELAYS?
In the latest newsletter I posted a calendar of releases, and of course the dates will need to be updated. My books in Spain are on hold right now until the end of the state of emergency. Intachable (Irreproachable) new print by Panini and Kurosawa el samurái caído (Kurosawa, the fallen samurai) by Norma editorial are printed but wready on the starting line, waiting to the reopening of the retailers. I have no news about it but surely will affect to the Ezequiel Himes miniseries by Amigo in USA. About Against Hope, I’m not sure because its release was planned for June. I’ll keep you informed via this newsletter and my SM.
You can take a look to the first 20 pages of the Kurosawa biography (in Spanish) here:
