GINGER REVENGES is available in a new digital edition

An extra edition because the Ginger Revenges series is now available in Panel Syndicate

WELCOME TO AN EXTRA EDITION OF MY NEWSLETTER

This week a new addition to the PARANOIA KILLER series I published in Panel Syndicate (the site created by Marcos Martin and Brian K. Vaughan) is released: a compiled version of GINGER REVENGES.
The book has been re-titled GINGER’S REVENGE instead of the original GINGER REVENGES, which was a deliberate orthographic mistake (I explained why I created the verb “to revenge” in this edition of the newsletter). We discussed about it and decided that the joke was too strange and finally used a more conventional title.

THE STORY:

Ginger Lewis’ mother has passed away after a long illness. When Ginger was only a baby, she and her mother were abandoned by her father, a low-life thug called Dennis Russell. Russell is now a successful crime lord and he is married again, but he never helped his former family. And Ginger blames him for her mom’s death.
Dennis Russell is going to discover that nothing is more dangerous than the rage of a teen girl.

If you follow this newsletter you know the story perfectly, which is something we could define like “Skins meets Gangs of London”.

I wanted to make a new version of this serialized story in which you could read it in a single document and thanks to the good people of Panel Syndicate it’s possible now.
This new version is not exactly the same as the serialized comic. Like I had to paste the title on the beginning of every page (this is each two pages of comic-book) sometimes I needed to modify these panels to make the reading more fluent. A couple of examples:

If you know the Panel Syndicate platform, you know that unlike other digital comics platforms, Panel Syndicate's model is pay-what-you-want. And if you decide to contribute, all the money, ALL the amount you pay, goes directly to the creators. And like the Paranoia series, we're releasing Ginger in two formats, one for computers in a widescreen view, and a single-page view for ipads or smartphones. And in two languages: English and Spanish (I did the translation and lettering of the Spanish version myself). And bonus stuff like designs and pencils WIP.
